TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!  

Order your Class of 2023 shirts today either online or in the main office.

Additional order forms are available in the front office.

**FRIDAY** November 10 will be the final day to fundraise AND pay the balance of your PALI Registration.

If you would like to donate and help sponsor a student, please go to the main office and ask for Ms. Wheeler.

By now, you should have received a Google doc requesting some basic information.  Once that’s submitted, PALI will send you a CampDoc where you can fill out necessary health information prior to attending.

YEEHAW!   We have two dress-up days next week:  October 31 and November 4

RED RIBBON WEEK is around the corner!  

Check out the themed days that ASB has lined up, from Monday, October 24 through Friday, October 28, to celebrate our commitment and fight against drugs.  If your Mustang chooses not to dress in the themed attire for the day, they can come in uniform.

REGISTRATION EXTENDED for PALI…You have until Tuesday, October 25 to submit your grade-level color specific permission slip and $50 deposit.  You can pay online at the Rogers store or in person during banking hours (8:30a-12:30p).

Personal checks are NOT accepted. You can pay with cash, credit card, ApplePay or Cashier’s Check.  You may pay for the registration in its entirety by November 4.

Mustang Families, you rock!   We have all the donations earmarked for our upcoming field day, so thank you!  However, we need VIPs to help on the day of the event.

Our kickoff event has changed to Thursday, November 3 and we are in full swing.   Our next Mustang Drive committee meeting is on Monday, 10/24 at 7:00pm via Zoom.

2022-23 Reflections Art Program Call for Entries | The theme is, “Show Your Voice!”

Get creative and let your inner artist shine. Submit an original piece of artwork to this theme. IMAGINE…using visual arts, music composition, dance choreography, film production, photography, or writing medium to EXPRESS yourself and INSPIRE others.

WHAT’S NEXT?  If you haven’t had a chance to attend the information meeting, please watch the recorded Parent information session and read the slide deck here.  

Every student who would like to attend this year‘s 3 night/2 day Rogers field trip to PALI Institute must meet the following deadlines:

1) A permission slip on their grade-specific colored paper must be turned in to the office or to their science teacher by October 20. Physical copies only!

2) A deposit of $50 must be paid by October 20 to guarantee their spot. Payment must be made either in person at the office during banker’s hours (banker’s hours are 8:30 – 12:30) OR online at the Rogers Store (3% surcharge will apply on all transactions)

3) Payments can be made in person (banker’s hours are 8:30 – 12:30) or online – $150 due October 25 and balance due November 4. You can also pay the $350 in its entirety.

4) If your student wishes to fundraise through www.shopfund.com, the last day is November 4. Forty percent (40%) of all sales will go to the student account and offset the cost.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 and in order to do so, we ask you register today!   Catalogs will be here by Friday.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE – LAST DAYS!   Get those final memberships in to the office today or join online by tomorrow!   Pizza prize and raffle winners will be announced by next week.  Hamilton (6th grade) has a commanding lead, Chapman and Hayes are neck and neck (7th grade) and Thomas is currently ahead, with Castellanos not too far behind (8th grade), to win the pizza party.   Every membership counts, join today!  

Our next Mustang Drive committee meeting is on Monday, October 17 at 7pm via ZOOM.  To obtain the zoom link, please email Erin Monge or president@rogersmiddleschoolpta.com We still need a Mustang Drive Packet coordinator to disseminate key information to all the students & parents and committee members to help solicit prizes from local businesses.

DONATIONS NEEDED!  In preparation of ASB’s Halloween Field Day on October 28, look out for a SignUp Genius link on our social media feeds.  We are hoping for the following donations:

• 3 whipped cream
• 3 dozen bakery or store-made cupcakes (for a Cake Walk)
• 10 bags of Halloween candy (individually wrapped) for the games

SAVE THE DATE!   Our first Lunch on the Lawn will take place on the front lawn, along Monrovia Avenue, on Thursday, October 13 from 12p-12:40p.  This is the first time since the pandemic where we can have lunch with your student and meet with other families in our Rogers community!  This event is open to family members or friends of family.

A permission slip is required and must be turned into the Main Office by Tuesday, October 11 (Office hours are 7:00 am – 3:30pm).

• Make sure to include your child’s Period 1 Teacher on the Permission Form
• Wristbands will be issued to students on Thursday by Period 1 Teachers.
• If you cannot attend, parents may turn in permission form for their child, so the child may attend with another parent/family

HAVE YOU HEARD?   For the first time in 3 years, all Rogers students will have the opportunity to attend PALI Institute’s 3-day camp in late November and early December.  Informational sessions will be held Monday, October 10 (via zoom) at 8:15 am and Tuesday, October 11 in the auditorium at 5:30pm.  For those parents who cannot attend either parent information session, it will be recorded and shared after the meeting.

This experience is made possible by the PTA’s biggest fundraiser drive but we still need to fill some key positions!  The PTA hopes to make a donation to fund the transportation to and from PALI camp but we need your help.  Our next Mustang Drive committee meeting is on Monday, October 10 at 8:15a in the multipurpose room.  Please join us and bring a friend!  If you cannot make it, sign up below:

OCTOBER 14 IS OUR CLUB FAIR.  Students will have the opportunity to check out the clubs available in our school and sign up. 

A list of our clubs can be found on our school loop page under the header “Clubs” or click here.  Club offerings are subject to change so make sure to remind your kids to stop by the tables and see what’s new!  

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE EXTENDED!   Listen up Mustangs!  We are extending our PTA Membership Drive to help us hit our goal of 100% membership.  We NEED YOU!  We are still 200+ memberships short of our goal.  That means you now have until October 15th to sign up for PTA memberships and be eligible for a lot of great rewards, like an in class party for the 1^st period class at each grade level with the highest percentage of memberships, and a chance to win a front of the line pass for lunch and activities, a “skip the mile-run pass” or 4 reserved front row seats and reserved parking for 8^th grade promotion.  Buy memberships online at the Rogers PTA website today.
