  • Pajama DayMonday, March 13 – come dressed in your PJs!
  • 8th Grade Party Planning Meeting Our second committee meeting will take place this coming Monday, March 13, at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room.   If you are unable to attend, email Veronica, our chair, and let us know if you’d like a role on the committee.
  • Next PTA Association Meeting   The PTA Association meeting scheduled for March 23 has been moved to March 30 to accommodate the requirement that the slate be posted for a minimum number of days before the elections.  We will see you at the Multipurpose Room at 6:30 pm!

  • SAVE THE DATE!   Rogers PTA is planning a fun parent’s night out at the Long Beach Yacht Club on Saturday, April 29 from 6 pm – 11 pm. This inaugural event will feature a poker tournament, a silent auction, dinner, drinks, karaoke and a selfie booth!

    Teacher of the Year Nominations.  Rogers students and parents, nominate one (or more) of our amazing Rogers teachers for Teacher of the Year!

    The Long Beach Council PTA’s annual Teacher of the Year program annually honors an outstanding teacher from the LBUSD.  Nominate a Rogers teacher by filling out the form here!

  • WE STILL NEED ONE MORE JEOPARDY CO-SPONSOR!  If you know anyone with a small business who would like to support our Jeopardy tournament, please reach out to them and have them contact president@rogersmiddleschoolpta.com as soon as possible.  The co-sponsor will be asked to donate $1150 and will be promoted through our newsletter, website, and social media.

In the fall, Delaney entered her dance piece in the 2022 Reflections Program.

This past week, Delaney Kaiser was honored at the 33rd District PTA Reception. She advanced to the 33rd District level of competition and received a 3rd place award for Dance Choreography.  Only 9 students from LBUSD placed 1st-3rd in the 33rd District competition.  Thank you for representing Rogers with your creativity and talent!

This month, our fundraising program is at Taco Shore in Long Beach.  Bring in the flyer (click to print) or show a digital version on your phone, every Wednesday and Thursday in March, and Rogers PTA will receive 20% back!
Purchases include dine-in, take out, and catering orders.   Third-party vendor orders will not qualify.

GOT AN 8TH GRADE STUDENT?    For a limited time, the Rogers webstore is selling a limited number of quarter-page-sized spaces for 8th grade dedications in the Rogers yearbook.  No business advertisements will be accepted. Click here for more information or to purchase. First come, first served.

Save the date!  The 8th Grade Party will be June 14th, at the CSULB Student Union, from 6 pm to 9 pm!  Come to the next planning meeting Monday, March 13 at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room to join the planning!


Help Needed!

No one is currently slated for the Board positions of VP Membership, Treasurer, or Financial Secretary. In order to have a PTA, we must at least fill the position of Treasurer.   If you are interested in learning more about these Board positions, please contact president@rogersmiddleschoolpta.com or click here.

Nominating Committee Report.  The Rogers PTA Nominating Committee met on February 7, 2023 to consider all eligible candidates for the 2023-24 term of office.  On behalf of the Nominating Committee, the following slate of officers is presented for the Association’s consideration:
