Committees are a great way to get involved in our Rogers community, especially if you are new to our school!   Below are some of the committees that are part of the Rogers Middle School PTA. 8th Grade Party Plans the 8th grade party at CSULB. This includes organizing food, music, and all activities, and working with Rogers to collect permission slips and donations.

8th Grade Promotion Assists the principal and vice principal in planning the ceremony; the committee passes out treats at promotion.  6th and 7th grade families are needed so that 8th grade families can watch the promotion.

Career Day Works with Rogers to recruit speakers for and plan and run the Career Day event for Rogers students. Committee members plan hospitality, coordinate and recruit speakers, and prepare materials.

Community Outreach Works with the school and Bethune Transitional Center to collect and deliver for the unhoused and needy.

Dining for Dollars Plans Rogers Dining for Dollars community events in partnership multiple times a year, with local restaurants as a fundraiser. This includes preparing flyers and posters.

Logowear Keeps inventory of and orders all PE uniforms, sweatshirts, and other spirit items that might be sold by the PTA. This committee also coordinates in-person uniform sales at TCB and helps fulfill orders throughout the year. Purchase gear.

Movie Night Plan and organize two movie nights at Rogers Mustang Park each year for Rogers students and their families.

Mustang Drive Fundraiser Plans and organizes the annual Mustang Drive fundraiser event. Lots of room for committee members here!

Parent Education Chair Arrange for speakers to come to the monthly PTA meetings. Speaker topics should be relevant to middle school students and their families.

Parents Night Out Gala FundraiserPlan a gala fundraiser that encourages community building and raises money for Rogers Middle School PTA. Lots of event planning and execution.

Passive Fundraising Handles all passive fundraising (Ralph’s, eScrip, etc.).

Reflections Sends out all Reflections information, plans the participants’ reception, works with faculty advisor for Reflections, and helps winning contestants move forward through the competition. The committee judges submissions and assists the chair in planning the reception.

School Spirit & Hospitality Helps promote school spirit and Mustang Pride through activities, student recognition, first day, special occasion planning and more.

Staff Appreciation Week Plans all events during staff appreciation week including the luncheon, goodie bags, and treats. The committee assists the chair by serving at the luncheon and delivering the treats.

Taking Care of Business (TCB) Day Volunteers Sell Rogers apparel/spirit wear/uniforms and PTA memberships while answering questions from incoming families at TCB days.
